Man, 61, charged over 'upskirting' near schools

POLICE have charged a 61-year-old man after investigations into allegations of 'upskirting' and possession of child pornography in Victoria.

The man was charged with 70 counts of child sex related offences including make, use and possess child pornography and indecent act with a child whilst having care and supervision of the child.

News Ltd reported the man was a teacher at Berwick Secondary College.

Police said they had have been in liaison with the Department of Education and Training throughout the investigation.

During the investigation police did not identify any contact offending and were unable to identify any individual victims.

It is believed the children were aged between 11 and 17-years and the offences occurred in Berwick between 2009 and 2013.

The Newborough man has received a summons to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates Court on 13 April, 2015.
