A POLICE spokesman said crews will be back out today patrolling around the Mackay Marina for missing man Gregory Spindler.

He said if anyone knows about Mr Spindler's whereabouts they should phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

SES teams are searching for the man on land and water near the Mackay Harbour, police said.

The RACQ-CQ Rescue crew are expected to join the search shortly as well.

POLICE are appealing for public assistance to help locate a 54-year-old man reported missing from the Mackay area.

Gregory Spindler was last seen at a workplace in Paget on July 28 at around 2am.

His vehicle, a black Toyota Hilux, was located at the Mackay Marina on July 30.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as it is unusual for him not to contact his family and work colleagues.

Gregory is described as Caucasian, bald,  182cm tall with a slim  build.

He was last seen wearing orange high visibility work shirt and blue work pants with reflective stripes at the knee.

Police are encouraging anyone who may have seen Gregory to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
