Virgin cancels flights due to volcanic ash hazard

VIRGIN Australia has cancelled all flights in and out of Denpasar Airport in Bali today due to volcanic ash from Mount Raung. 

The airline is operating on advice from meteorologists and the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre that conditions in the vicinity of the volcano have deteriorated, making it unsafe to fly.

Virgin will reassess the situation at around 6pm tonight for advice on tomorrow's services.
